Tonnara di Marzamemi
An enchanting venue with historic charm
The Tonnara di Marzamemi, the oldest and most significant tuna fishery in Eastern Sicily, offers an enchanting location for weddings. Originally built by the Arabs around the year 1000 on the tranquil shores of the Bay of Turtles, it was expanded in the late 17th century by architect Giovanni Vermexio under Prince Villadorata. Recently restored by Princes Domenico and Luisa Bonaccorsi di Reburdone, this venue features a charming Loggia, a courtyard, suites, and terraces. The Loggia, with its high arches and 700 square meters overlooking the ancient fishing harbor, provides a unique space for events. The shaded courtyard is perfect for outdoor breakfasts or cocktails, seamlessly connecting to Piazza Regina Margherita. Guests can stay in luxurious suites or the grand Prince’s Apartment, offering stunning sea views.
